Usually this will clean a slightly clogged print head. You should be sure you have an ample ink supply loaded into the ink cartridges, have already printed a Nozzle Check to paper, know the printer is clogged, and tried AccuRIP Ruby’s Cleaning feature located under the Gear Icon in the main interface 2 or 3 times. We will be using Freehand’s Amaze-ink Liquid Clog Buster that was included in the initial Ink Starter Kit. This should be done when the cleaning feature built into Ruby cannot easily clear a clog. pdfIn this video I will walk you through the process of manually cleaning the print head of a Canon Pixma Pro-100.

pdf for the 1400.Ĭould you specify which file to download - all I found was that. I saw a page of folders where I found the. I couldn't see a specific "SSC like" file.
EPSON STYLUS PHOTO 1400 PRINT HEAD CLEANING MANUAL
I was trying to follow that link and I did get a 1400 manual so THANKS for that. Solved my similar problem to yours and all working fine since. It thoroughly removes all air bubbles in the lines and cartridges. Select from first main page Particular Adjustment Mode and then use the Maintenance - Ink Charge to solve the problem. Once decompressed, you will see a list of files - start using the AdjProg.exe file as that is the programme required.

It is in the compressed RAR format (so ignore any "virus" messages - will only appear with certain AV products).Īs WinRAR is installed, when you click the Epson utility file it will decompress. Ran nozzle check after this and same missing segments as above.Īll ink feeding tubes from the CIS supply bottles are full all the way to the cartridge top: no air gabs in feed lines. Nozzle check showed a total of 7 missing segments on 3 different lines.ĭid use a pad soaked with Windex under the print head assembly, but only left it there for 20 minutes (you suggested leave it over night). Ran 2 cleanings, waiting 1 hour between them. Using dye ink and Inkjetfly CIS for Epson 1400.ĭid replace the cartridge in case previous cartridge developed a bad seal. What are your suggestions? I need some help. Would it be a bad idea to remove the black damper, place a syringe over the tube that supplies the ink to the head, suck out some ink, then maybe use the syringe to lightly force some Windex into the head (allowing the Windex to dissolve the ink from the inside)? What else can be done to free up this stuck head? Restarted the printer and it went through its charging, etc.ĭid another nozzle check and still no change. Made a non-linting pad, put Windex on it and placed pad under the damper/head assembly, for a while (about 20 minutes). Put some Windex on the head parking pad and waited a day to see if this would loosen things up. Waited a day to see if system stabilized. Put in a new damper, filled the damper with ink, did cleaning to get head charged, waited a bit and did nozzle check. I ran a nozzle check and the black ink nozzles had quite a few missing segments.ĭid a cleaning operation, waited a bit, did another nozzle check and still maybe one less segment missing.ĭid all this again and no changes to the results.
